They sang in the street
And they danced in the rain.
They laughed in the sadness,
And cried in joy.
They held hands united,
And had wars with themselves.
They shared dreams,
And built them out of Lego's.
And climbed trees,
And mountains.
They slept on clouds,
And drank nectar from the hive.
And they wrote in the sand,
And they feared nothing.
Nothing but fear itself.
And they lived until they had to be alive.
They slept until the alarm was silenced.
And they ate until the fruit became a pit.
And they drank until their mugs were dry,
And they cried until there was no more water inside them.

On the wall
Push her down
And watch her fall
Stick her fingers
Down her throat
But no one really
Needs to know.
Pain is nimble
Hurt is quick
Burns her like a candle wick.
Pills relax
Heart stops breaking
Fades to black
It all stops aching
Stolen youth
